FLDIGI
Credo che oramai tutti conoscano il software Fldigi
(Fast and Light Digital modem)

7O2A ---> This was a surprise activity by Dima,
RA9USU (of 7O6T fame), who
operated from Socotra Island (AF-028), Yemen for the
CQ WW DX SSB Contest.
QSL via UA3DX; logsearch and OQRS on Club Log. The
operation has been
already approved for DXCC credit.
CYPRUS ---> "A large number of Cyprus stations have
QSL mangers outside
Cyprus. The Cyprus Amateur Radio Society's (CARS)
QSL Bureau cannot deliver
QSLs to these stations. Please ensure that the QSL
Manager's callsign is
written prominently on the card. Many cards are
received from bureaux with
the correct manager, but the cards still get
delivered to CARS because the
manager's call is not prominent". A list of Cyprus
stations that have
managers outside Cyprus can be found on
www.cyhams.org/index.php:

CARS Services ---> QSL Bureau Service ---> Incoming

DXCC NEWS ---> T6MH (Afghanistan, 2012 and 2013
operations) has been
approved for DXCC credit. If you've had this
rejected in a prior
application, send a note to bmoore[@]arrl.org to be
placed on the list for
an update to your record. Please note the submission
date and/or reference
number where the rejection was noted to expedite the

KOSOVO ---> Members of SHRAK, Kosovo's Amateur Radio
Association (Z60A) and
Finland's Radio Arcala (OH8X) have a joint project

November, to "simulate
the upcoming ZA expedition", the Kosovo team will
operate Z60A on 14210,
21310 and 28510 kHz SSB. QSL via OH2BH. [TNX OH2BN]
QSL 5B4AHJ & P3J ---> M0URX is the new QSL manager
for 5B4AHJ and P3J
[425DXN 1173]. Older calls (5B50J, 5B/G3PMR, G3PMR
and others) still go via
5B4AHJ. [TNX 5B4AHJ]
QSL ZS8C ---> "I have changed the address that the

new address is Carson
McAfee, P.O. Box 1585, Allens Nek, 1737, Roodepoort,
Johannesburg, South
Africa. Cards sent to the old address will be
processed, and need not to be
resubmitted. Carson adds that "cards can also be
sent via the SARL QSL
Bureau" and that "LoTW will be completed once I
return to SA".
+ SILENT KEY + Guenter S. Hamacher, HP1XX (HP1XVH)

quite an eventful,
successful and varied life until he emigrated to
Contadora Island (NA-072),
Panama in 1982. An amateur radio operator for 25
years, he participated in
or hosted a large number of contest operations. The
last one was HP1WW by

EPC WW DX Contest
The
European PSK Club
has the honour to invite radio amateurs from all
over the world to participate in the
EPC WW
DX Contest
2014.
The objective of the
EPC WW DX Contest
is to establish as many contacts as possible between
radio amateurs around the world by using only the
BPSK63
mode
(all
HF bands except WARC bands).
Everybody can work everybody for QSO and multiplier
credit. The next
EPC WW DX Contest
will be held
from
12:00 UTC
on 01.02.2014
to 12:00 UTC
until 02.02.2014.
This is an excellent opportunity to increase your
BPKS63 count as well as accumulating contacts for
other EPC awards for countries, prefixes, suffixes,
etc.
---------
The annual
EPC WW DX

posted below this message.
Remember the dates & time:
12:00 UTC on 01.02.2014

you are in the right mode before you begin and
maximum power is 100 watts.

WARC band contacts!
Take note of
the new band for 2014 (160 meters) and several
changes to the categories list including a mode for
YLs.
As it was with last year's contest, be sure
to pay close attention to your Cabrillo log so that
it matches
exactly the format required.
All the very best and see you all in the EPC
WW DX Contest 2014!
