Il CQ World-Wide WPX Contest
2013
CW:
25-26 Maggio, 2013
Inizia: 0000 UTC Sabato Termina: 2359 UTC
Domenica
messo a log. Le stazioni Multi-operatore possono
operare per tutte le 48 ore.
III. Bande: Solo le bande 1.8, 3.5, 7, 14, 21, e 28
MHz possono essere utilizzate. E’ fortemente
incoraggiata l’osservanza dei Band Plan
prestabiliti.
IV. Termini di Competizione per Tutte le Categorie:
(a) I partecipanti devono operare entro i limiti
della loro categoria prescelta quando compiano
qualunque attività che possa aver effetto sul
proprio risultato.
totale su ogni banda in ogni momento è misurata
qualunque stazione.
coinvolgano altre persone.
sito operativo. I trasmettitori e i ricevitori
fisicamente localizzati i trasmettitori, i
permesso.
(i) La correzione dei nominativi post-contest
mediante l’so di qualsiasi database, registrazioni o
persona (l’operatore). Solo un segnale trasmesso è
permesso in qualunque momento.
(a)
eccedere i 1500 watts.
(b)
eccedere i 100 watts.
(c)
permessa. La potenza massima totale non deve
eccedere i 5 watts.
sola persona (l’operatore). Solo un segnale
trasmesso è permesso in qualunque momento. I
partecipanti in questa categoria possono usare
assistenza per la ricerca QSO.
(a)
Singolo Operatore ASSISTITO Alta Potenza (Tutte le
Bande o Singola Banda): La potenza massima totale
non deve eccedere i 1500 watts.
(b)
Singolo Operatore ASSISTITO Bassa Potenza (Tutte le
Bande o Singola Banda): La potenza massima totale
non deve eccedere i 100 watts.
(c)
Singolo Operatore ASSISTITO QRP (Tutte le Bande o
Singola Banda): La potenza massima totale non deve
eccedere i 5 watts.
C. Sotto-Categorie Singolo Operatore (Overlay): I
Tutti
i partecipanti OVERLAY sono raggruppati in Alta
potenza (HP) e Bassa potenza (LP) nei risultati.
(a)
deve eccedere i 1500 watts.
(a)
Singolo-Trasmettitore (MULTI-ONE): Solo un segnale
trasmesso è consentito in qualunque momento.
l’intero log.
(b)
Due -Trasmettitori (MULTI-TWO): Un massimo di due
segnali trasmessi è permesso in qualunque momento su
due bande differenti. Entrambi i trasmettitori
possono lavorare qualunque stazione.
(c)
Multi-Trasmettitore (MULTI-UNLIMITED): Un Massimo di
sei segnali trasmessi, uno per banda, in qualunque
momento. Sei bande possono essere attivate
simultaneamente. Usare una sequenza di numeri
seriali separata per ogni banda.
VI.
contatto. Nota: I partecipanti Multi-Two e
Multi-Unlimited usano sequenze seriali separate per
ogni banda.
VII. Punteggio per contatto:
(a) Contatti tra stazioni di diversi continenti
contano tre (3) punti sui 28, 21, e 14 MHz e sei (6)
punti sui 7, 3.5, e 1.8 MHz.
1.8 MHz. Eccezione: Solo per le stazioni del Nord
America—contatti tra stazioni all’interno dei
confini del Nord America (entrambe le stazioni
devono essere localizzate in Nord America) valgono
due (2) punti sui 28, 21, e 14 MHz e quattro (4)
punti sui 7, 3.5, e 1.8 MHz.
(c) Contatti tra stazioni dello stesso paese
(country) valgono un (1) punto indipendentemente
dalla banda.
VIII.
identificarsi come portatile.
Esempio: PA/N8BJQ
diventerebbe PAØ. A tutti i nominativi senza numero
Esempio: XEFTJW
conterebbe come XEØ. Gli identificativi Marittimo
mobile, Mobile, /A, /E, /J, /P, o quelli
identificanti altre licenze non contano come
prefissi.
(b) Stazioni per eventi speciali, commemorativi, ed
altre stazioni con prefissi unici sono incoraggiate
a partecipare. I prefissi devono essere
ufficialmente assegnati dall’autorità preposta alla
gestione delle licenze nel paese di operazione.
IX.
punti. L’accredito del prefisso può essere contato
una sola volta.
(a) Singolo-Operatore:
(i)
bande.
X. Premi: Solo i log sottomessi in formato
http://www.cqwpx.com/plaques.htm.
(i)
In ogni paese (country) partecipante.
(ii)
In ogni call area degli Stati Uniti d’America,
Canada, Russia, e Giappone.
(iii)
aggregato basato sui log sottomessi dai propri
membri.
(a)
organizzazione nazionale (ad es., ARRL or DARC).
(b)
(c)
I partecipanti Singolo-operatore possono solo
elettronico.
rapporto ricevuto. Un log senza tutte le
informazioni richieste potrà essere riclassificato
come checklog.
(b) Ai partecipanti Singola banda è richiesto di
includere tutti i contatti fatti durante il contest,
anche se su altre bande. Solo i contatti fatti sulla
banda specificata nella testata (header) del file
Cabrillo saranno considerati ai fini del punteggio.
I Log che contengono contatti su una sola banda,
saranno classificati come partecipanti Singola
Banda.
log.
via E-mail o via WEB upload. I log SSB in formato
CABRILLO dovrebbero essere inviati a <ssb@cqwpx.com>.
I log CW in formato CABRILLO dovrebbero essere
inviati a <cw@cqwpx.com>. Indicate soltanto il
vostro nominativo nell’oggetto della vostra e-mail.
L’upload dei log via WEB è disponibile a
www.cqwpx.com.
Tutti i log ricevuti via e-mail saranno confermati
via e-mail.

XIII. Violazione delle regole: Violazioni delle
norme sui radio amatori, o le regole del contest;
SOLLECITARE, PREDISPORRE, o CONFERMARE qualunque
dell’infrazione. Se la partecipazione riguarda una
categoria Multi-Operatore, tutti gli operatori
elencati saranno egualmente sanzionati.
XV. Termine: Tutte le partecipazioni devono essere
inviate via e-mail o spedite NON PIU’ TARDI di (6
Aprile, 2013per la sezione SSB e 1 Giugno, 2013per
la sezione CW). I log inviati via email o spediti
dopo il termine potranno essere considerati inadatti
a concorrere a qualunque premio.
Contest Director.

9-day voyage on the 15th. Once ashore, they will have 18 days to set up,
conduct the DXpedition and tear down for departure. "Thus far, we have only
raised just over 53% of the money that we need to complete this DXpedition",
the team says. "As payments on the vessel begin next month, we must ask the
world-wide DX community for their support. Visit our website at
www.amsterdamdx.org and contribute whatever you can. We need your help".
[TNX K0IR]
GRENADA ---> AC8G and J39AL are putting together a team to cover the CQ WW
SSB contest from Grenada, with time for individual DX activity. The group
will have access to antennas and amplifiers "for a major entry in the
contest", but each member will have to provide transceivers, related
accessories and computers. Please contact Harry, AC8G for detailed
information (htflasher[@]gmail.com, Skype flasher-ac8g). [TNX AC8G]
W9DXCC DX CONVENTION ---> A six session class, designed for both new and
experienced DXers, will be held on 20 September in conjunction with the 61st
W9DXCC DX Convention. Each session will cover a different aspect of DXing,
including operating practices, digital DXing, chasing awards, QSLling,
antennas and propagation. Registration for the class may be done online at
the W9DXCC web site (www.w9dxcc.com) when Convention registration is active.
Please contact W9MU (jack[@]w9mu.net) for additional information. [TNX K9EL]
WAKE 2013 ---> K9W, the Commemorative DXpedition to Wake Atoll in early
October [425DXN 1141], "is progressing nicely. The initial phase of the
operation, planning, is essentially complete and the team has moved into
equipment procurement and staging operations". Read the latest information
(Press Release #3) and details on how contribute to this expensive project
on the expedition's website (www.wake2013.org) [TNX W8GEX]
YASME ---> At its annual meeting held at the International DX Convention in
Visalia, the Board of Directors elected Ward Silver, N0AX, as its new
President. The remaining officers were re-elected. Fred Laun (K3ZO,
Director and Vice-President), Rusty Epps (W6OAT, Director and Treasurer),
Kip Edwards (W6SZN, Director and Secretary), Martti Laine (OH2BH,
Director), Mac McHenry (W6BSY, Director) and Robert Vallio (W6RGG,
Director).
The necessity of an election for a new President was occasioned by the
resignation of Wayne Mills, N7NG. Wayne has founded DX University
(www.dxuniversity.com) and takes over as the new DX Editor for CQ Magazine.
The Board also decided to acknowledge Mr. Mills' many years of service to
the Yasme Foundation by making a contribution to DX University in support
of the goals shared by the two organizations. Additional information about
The Yasme Foundation can be found at www.yasme.org. [TNX W6SZN]

Work continues on the 6.1 release. The beta sites
have been giving back good feedback.
Many of the HRD Software team members are at the
Dayton Hamvention this weekend. HRD can be found in
booth 100 in Audio Alley; all hams and HRD users are
encouraged to stop by and say hello to the team.

and this year is no exception. For those that are
unable to make it to Dayton, HRD is going to extend

MISSION GOODWILL SOUTH SUDAN ---> The initial
activity (ST0R) covered DXCC
demand, and has been followed by a handful of hams
working in the country
and QRV with Z8 callsigns. However, South Sudan's
"amateur radio
infrastructure is not yet established. This include
regulations, licensing
procedures, visitor licensing and considerations on
calling for locals to
get involved. Radio Arcala has taken up the
initiative to work with the
local Telecom administrators and provide them with
assistance and helping
hand". Olli, OH0XX and Martti, OH2BH are currently
in Juba, the capital,
and are active as Z81X during their spare time. QSL
via OH0XX. [TNX DX

NCDXF NEWS ---> The annual meeting of the Northern
California DX Foundation
board of directors was held during the International
DX Convention in
Visalia, California, on 20 April. Officers will
remain unchanged for the
next year with Rusty Epps W6OAT (President), Glenn
Johnson W0GJ (Vice
President), Don Greenbaum N1DG (Treasurer) and Kip
Edwards W6SZN
(Secretary). Reelected to the board of directors
were Ned Stearns AA7A,
Glenn Rattmann K6NA, Steve Merchant K6AW, Tom Berson
ND2T, John Miller
K6MM, Glenn Vinson W6OTC and Ken Anderson K6TA.
Contributions from clubs and individuals remain
strong, helping NCDXF keep
up with the increasing expenses of DXpeditions to
rare, remote and
dangerous entities. Please visit
www.ncdxf.org
for joining or renewing
membership. NCDXF officially presented a $50,000
grant to the FT5ZM
Amsterdam Island DXpedition. This is the second
largest grant in the 41
year history of NCDXF. During this time NCDXF has
supported over 500
DXpeditions with over $1.8 million dollars. The
Northern California DX Foundation is also committed
to bringing younger
DXers and Contesters into our hobby. NCDXF will
provide full tuition
scholarships for hams 25 years of age and younger at
all DX University and
Contest University sessions held in North America
for the next year. This
includes those held at the Dayton Hamvention next
month. Funding for this
project comes from NCDXF's Scholarship Endowment
Fund, which is separate
from its General Fund used to support DXpeditions. [TNX

PIRATE ---> Peter, OX3XR has received information
from the Greenlandic
Communication Authorities that Leo Wolsing (OX3LW) "requested
to terminate
the call" back in August 1975. The callsign has not
been reissued since
then, so do not waste your time on working the
station currently signing
OX3LW as it is a pirate.
QSL HK6AAY & HK6DOS ---> Oscar, HK6DOS reports that
EA5KB is no longer his
QSL manager. The same applies to Carlos, HK6AAY. QSL
for both is now "via
bureau or e-QSL".
QSL ZP5YW ---> Effective immediately, Randy W5UE has
agreed to serve as QSL
manager for Mike ZP5YW. Mike's former manager,
WA3HUP has retired from this
service. Mike uploads his logs regularly to LoTW and
eQSL, and is providing
Randy all of his logs. New QSLs are being ordered so
there may be a slight
delay in replies. Direct requests should go to Randy
Becnel, P.O. Box 170,
Kiln MS 39556-0170, USA. OQRS (for ZP5YW as well as
for other stations
Randy manages) at
http://w5ue.net/qsl-w5ue.html.

THE INTREPID SPIRIT AWARD ---> "Tonight [20 April,
at the IDXC 2013 in
Visalia, Ed.] the Intrepid-DX Group is very proud
present our 'Intrepid
Spirit Award' to a notable DXer and DXpeditioner
that we have come to
respect and admire greatly, Mr. Silvano Borsa I2YSB.
This award is to
recognize Silvano's outstanding efforts to activate
Somalia on three
different activations, as well as Chad and most
recently Burkina Faso.
We acknowledge Silvano's pursuit of Dxpedition
excellence and his quest to
activate the rare and often dangerous entities. It
is for these reasons
that we honor him tonight with our 'Intrepid Spirit
Award'.
This 'Intrepid Spirit Award' is made in memory of
our fallen friend and
member, James McLaughlin, T6AF who was killed in
Kabul, Afghanistan just
two years ago this month". [Paul S. Ewing N6PSE,
President, The Intrepid-DX
Group]
THE P5 PROJECT ---> On 20 April, at the IDXC 2013 in
Visalia, the
Intrepid-DX Group, in partnership with the
World-Wide DX Group, announced
their "sustained and ongoing effort to activate
North Korea", the most
wanted DXCC entity world-wide. "We are committed to
work as hard and as
long as it takes to activate this rare and much
needed entity. We will
continue negotiating and flying into and out of the
DPRK as needed during
this process to lay the groundwork and to build the
trust to ensure that a
favorable outcome can be created". Read the full
